MyIncident (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use the MyIncident mobile application (“the App”). By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

MyIncident is a user-controlled personal documentation tool. We collect only the data required to provide the App’s core functionality. We do not sell user data, use advertising trackers, or build behavioral profiles.

a. User-Generated Records
When you create a record, you may choose to include text notes, photos, audio or video (if enabled), optional location data (if you allow it). This content is created solely at your initiative.

If the App supports accounts, we may collect email address, basic account identifiers. This information is used only to provide access and support.
3. Automatically Collected Information
We may collect limited technical information, such as device type and operating system, app version, crash or diagnostic logs. This information is used only to maintain and improve the App.
4. Device Permissions
MyIncident requests access to device features only when required for features you actively use Camera / Microphone: to capture content you initiate, Location only if you explicitly enable location tagging, Storage: to save records and exports. Permissions can be managed or revoked at any time through your device settings.
5. How We Use Information
We use information to allow you to create and view records, enable exports you request, provide customer support, maintain performance and reliability. We do not use your data for advertising or marketing profiling. MyIncident does not access, review, or monitor incident content except where technically necessary to operate the Service or required by law.
6. Data Storage and Security
User data is stored using industry-standard security measures. While we take reasonable steps to protect information, no system is completely secure. You use the App at your own risk. Data may be processed and stored on secure cloud infrastructure located outside your country, including Australia and the United States.
7. Data Retention
We retain data only for as long as necessary to provide the App’s functionality. You are responsible for exporting or retaining copies of your records if you wish to preserve them outside the App.
8. Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent user data.
9. User Control and Deletion
You can delete records within the App, request account deletion (if applicable). Deletion requests can be made via support@myincident.com.au
10. Children’s Privacy
MyIncident is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. International Users
Your information may be stored or processed in countries other than your own. By using the App, you consent to this processing.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Acceptance of exported reports is determined by third parties and applicable law. MyIncident makes no guarantees regarding admissibility.
